Job responsibilities will include:
- Interface between experimental design product test and electronic design engineers.
- Interface with customers/sponsors to understand technical specifications for applications.
- Proposal writing for new grants and contracts and report writings for existing contracts.
- Self-motivated, capable of working independently as well as within the team.
- Imaginative approach to problem solving.
Essential skills:
- Advanced mechanical engineering degree with electronics background preferred or 5-years of relevant experience in product development.
- Good communication, writing, and interpersonal skill.
Desired Skills:
- Silicon MEMS device design and fabrication familiarity.
- Familiarity with silicon foundry processing, design rules and specific process steps as they might affect post processing for MEMS structures.
- Experience with exposure to Finite Element Analysis (FEA) of Mechanical Composite Structure.
- Knowledgeable with Tanner Tools MEMSPRO® software, L-Edit, Labview®, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, OrCAD®, and ME design tools
- Experience with electrochemical processes and calculations, including electroplating system and electrochemical corrosion.
- Desire to work for a Silicon Valley start-up, with all of the risk, responsibility, and reward that that implies.
- Experience in device packaging.
