Patents and Licenses
Analatom has executed an exclusive license and patent execution rights with the Australian Government for a new type of chemical-based MEMS corrosion sensor with CMOS controller circuitry to detect corrosion in an adhesive bondline. The US patent for the technology has been filed. Dr Alan Wilson, a Senior Research Scientist with the Australian Defence Science and Technology Organisation (DSTO), will act as a technology transfer coordinator with Analatom. This DSTO partnership will promote future follow-on product concepts in addition to providing access to valuable testing resources and a major future customer.
Analatom has a second exclusive license and patent rights with the Australian Government for a sensor which monitors under a coating different types of corrosion and measures the respective corrosion rates. Prototype sensors based on an electrochemical technique called Linear Polarization Resistance (LPR) have been developed. Analatom will patent its miniaturization of both the LPR sensing element and the measurement electronics.
